- The indexable soft jaw can be machined to be used for multiple jobs
- jaw knuckles are made of 7075-T6 aluminum and also hard-coated for superior durability and strength
- High-grade aluminum body combined with an alloy steel cover plate are much more durable than a heavier all-steel body vise
- The precision ground alloy steel cover plate is bolted to aluminum base, providing a precise surface for locating. A pair of ground and hardened dowel pins on each movable jaw engages with the guided way on the jaw knuckle at a 45 degree angle to prevent jaw deflection and also extends the usage life of soft jaws

The bottom of he base has 4 steel bushed location holes (12mm) for dowel pins to gain quick and easy alignment and reduce setup time. There are 4 more through holes (9mm) to allow compact mounting configuration and optimize table space. This versatile mounting configuration is ideal for mounting on tombstones, on horizontal machining centers, and on rotary indexers on a vertical mill
