- Unlike other less expensive import vises, 440V offers key improvements to prevent jaw lifting by using a 45 degree wedge and a pivoting ground finished steel hemisphere in a milled pocket to hold down the movable jaw while stationary jaw features integral key to increase holding strength and hold down by 2 large cap socket screw (3/8" x 2-1/4")
- Vise body made from 80,000 PSI stress relieved ductile cast iron
- Vise bed and jaw plates are flame hardened to 45 HRc
- Semi-hard leadscrew in ground bright finish
- Seal bearing system reduces clamping force and extends bearing life
- Vise spindle nut completely conceal leadscrew to prevent chips from damaging leadscrew's thread
