From Start to Finish
Tegara now offers boring heads for roughing and finishing applications. Coolant thru rough boring head covers boring range from 0.787” to 4.72” (20mm to 120mm), and coolant thru fine boring head covers boring range from 1.260” to 2.362” (32mm to 60mm). Combined with Tegara CAT40 Modular Boring Head Tool Holders (sold separately) these two boring heads provide a great one-two punch for precise bores with mirror finishes.

HSK63A & HSK40E Shank
End of slitting saw holder has small holes or grooves, this is for optionally applying loc-tite to secure saw to holder. Cap must still be used and torqued. HSK40E Tool Holders are balanced to G2.5 20,000 RPM, and HSK63 Tool Holders are balanced to G2.5 30,000 RPM. Multiple arbor diameters and projection lengths available.

The Solid Carbide Boring Bar Advantage
Solid carbide shank boring bars can extend up to 7xD from the tool holder when cutting steels with minimal chatter or vibration (vs a steel shank that's usuallty good up to 3xD). Much stronger in stiffness and dense compared to steel shank boring bars, resulting in better accuracy and less chatter, especially when dealing with long overhangs. Ideal for deep boring operations, high precision work, materials with high cutting resistance, or situations where minimal chatter is critical.

Feel The Difference
The caliper beam and jaw are made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic to reduce weight and improve wear resistance, making even the largest 60" size feel weightless. The nib jaw is micro lapped on the round face, allowing for accurate inside diameter measurement. The guide way surface is lapped in the direction of the slider movement, this minor detail produces an even and smooth run of the slide.
