What started as a mere pencil sketch on a sheet of scratch paper has grown into a thrilling adventure in design and engineering. The Aventor micrometer was designed with the human aspect in mind. Sleek style, comfort and accuracy along with durability, make’s this tool an outstanding addition to your tool checklist. Color. Shape. Contour. Feel. These were only some of the features we explored as part of the intricate elements of what makes a micrometer phenomenal.
Design
More than a pretty face
First, we modeled the design to eliminate hand fatigue with a contoured body that fits like a glove. Crisp, clear, easy-to-read LCD display, accurate to .00015"/0.004mm and is easy on the eyes too. We also added the capability of connecting direct to your computer, eliminating secondary data input. The spine of the grip also features a non-slip surface to eliminate accidental drops.However, the Aventor is far more than just a pretty face.
Design
Pick it up and measure
Splish splash, no leaks here! IP65 complete splash protection from water, coolant, dust, oil and other non-corrosive materials, without the worry of damaging the tool. Bigger is better! We have also incorporated a large size battery (cr2032) along with advanced circuitry to end the constant battery changes so common in other micrometers. There is also an auto-shut off feature that allows the unit to power down. On the power up, it will read from the last travel position because that’s something we do not want to forget.And for an additional fee, we can provide this micrometer with a ISO 17025 certificate from an ANAB certifed lab in Wisconsin.

IP65 Protection Level
Coolant Proof IP65 protection level means the micrometer is dust tight and protected against water jet. In our laboratory test we would apply water jets under standardize pressure condition for 30 minutes. Designed to work in adverse condition exposed to coolant, water, dust, or oil, even if the caliper is splashed with coolant or water, there is no need to wipe or clean the spindle. Anti-corrosion treatment is required after exposing to water or coolant environment.
