It's What's Inside That Matters
When purchasing a new chuck for your lathe, it's not just the name that should drive your purchase, it's what's inside that matters. Our CS series chuck body, made from cast steel, contains a scroll plate that is drop forged of fine alloy steel before being carefully case hardened, thread flanks which are ground on both sides, three ground and hardened pinions, and a set of precision ground jaws that provide an evenly distributed grip to the workpiece.

Precision You Can Feel
The CS series chucks are crafted with a clear focus on precision. The motionless needle on the indicator in every revolution paired with the effortless turn of the scroll underscores precision you can feel. Plus, every chuck averages a run out tolerance that is .0023" lower than other competing chucks on the market.Every CS series chuck is meticulously inspected by a seasoned quality assurance veteran with a minimum of 30 years experience manufacturing lathe chucks. This multi-point inspection gives the user confidence that the runout is consistent in every stage of the machining process and guarantees a high level of quality for each chuck off the line.
Craftsmanship
-
Serialized Jaws
Each set of jaws are assembled to the designated chuck body and undergo a tight tolerance grinding process in order to achieve an exceptional accuracy above the industrial DIN standard accuracy specification
-
Precision Grinding
To maximize precision to a TIR of .0023" lower than the competition and to ensure a firm, even grip on every work piece, both the sides of the jaw teeth and the guides are fully ground and hardened to HRC 58-62.
-
Quick Bolt Backplate
Back side of chuck body has a precision machined finish on both the plain face of the recess and shoulder contact area allowing it to mount with our FLD series back plate without any additional machining on the back plate
